Pick-up
|
PONY, BOSS,
PROFI GP
- The pickup guide plate is
shaped to collect all the crop.
- Ideal pivotting action and
countersprings make the pickup extremely adaptable to uneven
ground.
- Hydraulic pickup lift system
has two cylinders; one at each end.
- The pneumatic pickup wheels
can be adjusted 8-fold and are located precisely at the tine
contact point. A freewheel mechanism protects the tines
during reversing.
- Countersprings at each end
guarantee the best possible ground hugging.
BOSS and PROFI GP self-loading wagons. 5 rows of
tines and a 1.65 m wide pickup.
|
PONY and BOSS-junior
have 4 rows of tines and a pickup 1.55 m wide. |
LADEPROFI, ERNTEPROFI
- Five rows of tines on LADE/ERNTEPROFIs
and 1.65 m wide pickup.
- The speed of the tine
movements is synchronised with the speed of the loading
system.
- The closely spaced tine
sequence ensures that the crop is lifted cleanly even at
high loading speeds.
- The tines are bolted onto
gauge tubes. Heavy-duty "Super C"-quality tines
have a longer service life. The tubes are supported in the
middle by a support disc, right where the stress is highest.
- The height-adjustable rubber
wheels contact the ground on exactly the same line as the
tines and guide the pickup perfectly through each hollow.
- The pickup transmission with
integrated clutch disengages automatically when the pickup
is raised.
- A height-adjustable pickup
guide plate ensures that even really short forage is not
left behind.
- The fine-tuned
countersprings absorb shocks and prevent the pickup from
sinking in on damp ground.

PICK-UP!
The hardened steel cam track has a solid centre. Not a
casting - this material does not wear even after years of
service.
Between the pickup and the loading system the crop passes over heattreated
transfer plates. Foreign objects and earth are able to fall
through away from the crop here. This system is only available
from Pöttinger. The knives are fully protected.
|
SUPERMATIC-loading system
|
Smooth loading
system
- Because the loading comb
bars are split in the middle the stress is distributed over
more cam rollers and a larger cam control surface.
- The wide conveyor duct
protects the crop and guarantees highest loading
performance.
- Each knife cuts the crop
exactly between the dual tines.
- The cam tracks at each end
are circular and ensure smooth, jolt-free running and a long
service life.
- The pickup and loading
system are equipped with automatic transmission for
reversing.
|
PONY 1 / 2
Two / three loading comb bars, supported in the middle,
cam track at one end. U-shaped feed tines also load
short forage reliably |
|
BOSS Junior
Three split loading comb bars, cam track at each end,
six-phase conveying and cutting sequence. |
|
BOSS / ERNTEBOSS
Three split loading comb bars, cam track at each end,
twelve-phase conveying and cutting sequence. Every other
pair of tines is shortened so there are two levels of
chopping to save power. |
|
PROFI GP / ERNTEBOSS
Four split loading comb bars, cam track at each end,
sixteen-phase conveying and cutting sequence. Loading
system is equipped with a central lubrication system. |
CUTTING SYSTEM
The original with s e r r a t e d b l
a d e s
Often copied - never
equalled
- Perfect serrated
blades ensure that even after the knife edge is
blunt a good chop is still achieved.
- The curved knife
shape delivers a continuous, power-saving cut.
- The blanket of
forage is always cut with precision to protect the
crop.
- SUPERMATIC knife
security system: If an object triggers the
security system, there is only minimal resistance as
the knife moves back (up to 13 cm clearance), and
then clicks into place again.

SUPERMATIC!
Central lubrication manifold
for easy maintenance. Standard equipment on PROFI GP and
ERNTEBOSS with 31 knives.
Cam track at either end for only half the stress on the
control elements. The combs are positioned precisely in each
phase.
On all self-loading wagons: all loading combs are fitted with hardened
bearing bushes.
The knife banks can be individually pivoted and can simply be
lowered to the ground.
Quick-release knives: release catch, remove knife.

Choice of axles and tyres
|
PONY, BOSS,
PROFI-GP
Choice of axles
Braked axles, high-loaders fitted with reversible rims (changes
track width from 1550 mm to 1750 mm). Bolted axle unit enables
tandem axle with suspension to be retrofitted.
Tandem axle with compensating suspension
A compound suspension system (optional) optimises the load
distribution to each axle.
Tyres:
- 15-17, reversible for track
width of 1550 and 1750 mm
- 19.0/45-17, track width 1600
mm
LADE-/ERNTEPROFI
With 15-17 tyres the track width can easily be changed from
1550 to 1750 mm by turning the wheels around. On trailers
with tandem axles offsetting the track widths of 1550 and
1750 mm will help to distribute the load more evenly. Single
axle up to 6.9 t permissible total weight, 25 km/h.
Dual air brakes for single axle up to 5.6 t
permissible total weight, 40 km/h 19.0/45-17/10 PR. Tandem
axle up to 8 t permissible total weight, 25 km/h,
Dual air brakes with ALB for tandem axle up to 9 t
permissible weight, 40 km/h 15.0/55-17/10 PR
Air brakes or hydraulic brakes (varies from country to
country)
- Pneumatic brake system
with ALB controller (automatic load-controlled brake
system) can be upgraded to ABS as option
- High degree of safety
with higher loads even with the hydraulic braking
system.
- Each wheel is fitted
with a brake cylinder as standard
- Steered axles as option
- Steered axles to protect
the sward and reduce side forces while cornering. The
steered axles are locked by a separate hydraulic
connection for reversing and higher speeds. Protects the
tyres against wear.
|
|
NEAT!
Spring suspension tandem axles
The compound suspension optimises the load distribution to each
axle. While driving over bumpy ground the forces are distributed
to both axles, not adsorbed by the limit stops. Best control on
slopes, same load on each axle, even during braking. Huge leaf
springs provide the necessary shock absorption.
